My Grandpa's Birthday
My Grandpa was born on April 26, 1949. He has been through a lot in his life. He moved from Europe to North America. He had to sacrifice everything. So once he came to America he found a job and started working until he made enough money and married my grandma. Once he married her they opened up their own dry cleaning store. Till this day they have that same store. Sometimes after school my sister and I go there to visit. He is turning 67 this year. Even though his birthday was on Tuesday, we are celebrating today with the whole family. I hope he likes what we have done for his birthday. This is going to be a really special one. If you met my grandpa you would know right away that he is quiet but he can do a whole lot when it comes to family. Wow I can't believe my grandpa is 67. I can't wait till he's 70!

My Baby Cousin Nicholas
I love my baby cousin Nicholas. Don't worry, he is not the Nicholas in our class. He is a three year old kid. He is the best baby cousin that you can have. He is very nice and playful. He loves playing with cars and trucks. He is also very interested in basketball. I want to teach him everything that I know in basketball. If he learns and masters everything that I teach him, he can probably be as good as me. I cant wait till he gets older because I'm planning to do a lot of activities with him. I really want to take him camping because I love camping and I want him to love too. I love my baby cousin and I cant wait till he gets older. This is my baby cousin Nicholas.

The Armenian Genocide
Last Sunday was April 24th. April 24th is probably one of, or the worst day in Armenian history, or shall I say wirld history. On April 24th, 1915, the Turks from the country of Turkey came and killed 1.5 million Armenians for pretty much no reason. Once the Turks did that they took most of Armenia's land. Today Armenia is one of the smallest countries on earth. Fourteen Armenia's can fit in the state of California. That's how small Armenia is. Last Sunday was the 101th year anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Every year, thousands of Armenians gather up some where and walk 12 miles to the Turkish Consalate and protest against Turkey. Today Turkey doesn't admit that there was a genocide, but deep down they know that there was. If you watched the news Sunday you would have heard all about the Armenian Genocide. The Genocide happened during World War 1. The Genocide gets very emotional to my family and I because all of my ancestors died during the Genocide except for this one person named Haig Pakhchanian (I am named after him). He was a general that was my great-great grandpa. I have actually seen pictures of him. He looked really cool. Anyway this was my input on the Armenian Genocide.

My Favorite Video Game
As you guys might know, my favorite video game is Nba 2k16. I like that game because it has to do with basketball. I am actually very good at that game. There is this feature called my career where you make your own player and you try to make your player the best he can be. My player is actually really good. He plays for the Houston Rockets. He is currently in the NBA finals against the Clevland Caviliers. His name is obviously Haig Pakhchanian. He averages about 30points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds a game. He is a point guard from UCLA. I hope he ends up winning the finals because it will be a huge accomplishment in his NBA career. This is my favorite video game.

My Favortite Subject
My favorite subject in school has to be math. I like math because I seem to be kind if good at it. My math teacher this year is Mrs.Lee. Is seems like a nice teacher. We are currently learning about angles in her class. What we are learning is pretty easy so far. I currently have an A in that class. I am very proud of that. For some people math can be really hard. But for me it is some what easy because math is a big part of my DNA. My mom is a CPA (an accountant), and she works with numbers every day. Also, my grandpa knows everything that has to do with numbers or math. My mom mostly works with people's taxes, so she uses a lot of percentages in her work. This is why math is my favorite subject in school.

Remembering The First Time I wrote a Blog
The first time I blogged, I was nervous because I have never blogged before. My first blog was about scouts. Before I wrote that blog I had know idea what I was going to write about. Once I wrote that blog I was relieved because I finally got one blog out of the way. Writing blogs are easy except for when you don't know what to write about. You always have to make sure you have something to talk about. I like blogs because you can write about whatever you want. When my sister gets older I will encourage her to write blogs. I think she will like it because she is very creative and she is good at writing. I think writing blogs help a lot with building skill in writing. This is what I thought about my first blog.

Easter Sunday
I can't believe that Easter is already here. This year has been going very smoothly so far. Yesterday was Easter. My Easter felt very long. In the morning we drove all the to Santa Clarita to go to church. The drive was about half an hour. After church, we went to my Grandma and Grandpa's house to visit them. We had a late breakfast and left their house. After that we went to my Great Grandma's house to vist them. All my cousins and family met their to have a big Easter lunch. That lunch was very tasty. After we had lunch we had a Easter Egg Hunt and open our Easter baskets. For about an hour I played with my sister and cousins. It was like a mad house their. There was so much noise in that house. But at night all of my family met at my house to have dinner. We had a big barbecue and it was a lot of fun. My Easter Sunday turned out to be very fun. This was my Easter Sunday.

My Favorite TV Show
My favorite TV show is Chopped. Chopped is a TV show where there are four chefs that have to make a dish from ingredients in a mystery basket. There are three judges that judge there dishes. Who ever does the worst job gets chopped. There are three rounds. The appetizer round, the entrée round, and finally the dessert round. Who ever wins chopped gets $10,000. I like Chopped because I like cooking. I get to learn a lot from Chopped. I get to learn a lot of techniques that I didn't know before. Sometimes I think the judges are a little hard on the chefs because on some episodes, this judge said that he hated this one chefs dish. Chopped is hard because the mystery basket can have some weird ingredients. They have to cook with those ingredients in thirty minutes. This causes a lot of stress. I would like to compete in Chopped one day because I have watched a lot of shows and I know what to expect. This is my favorite TV show.

My First Time Flying A Plane
On February 27, 2016, I flew my first plane. Before I actually got into the plane, I had to watch some videos and try out a flight simulator. In the simulator I got to fly a plane. It was basically like a videogame. Once I finished that, I went to my captain/instructor. I had to call my instructor Captain G. Captain G was a very good instructor. He made it really easy for me to get how to do it. So after all of the simulator stuff, we went out to my plane. My plane was red. The type of the plane was a Cessna. For me the hardest part of flying a plane was the landing part. The rest of it was very easy. So basically, I was going to fly all over Los Angeles. The plane ride for an hour. I had a lot of fun on this plane ride. I literally flew the plane the whole time. I took off, flew around, and landed the plane. Flying the real plane was ten times easier than doing the simulator. My dad was in the back seat the whole time. So when my dad and I were driving home, we were talking about it the whole time. It was great experience doing this with my dad. I will definitely do it again.
Massis Basketball Team
I am playing basketball in Massis. Massis is an Armenian organization that has pretty much everything. For example, scouts, basketball, and soccer. I play Massis basketball. I am in the 14 year old division when I am only 12. This division might be challenging, but it will make me a better player. We will be doing a lot of tournaments like, the Fresno tournament, the Navasartian games, and the San Diego tournament. My team is fairly good for my division. Hopefully we win first place in all of these tournaments. If we win I will be a very happy person. We have practices every Tuesday at 5:00. Every time Tuesdays come along I am always excited. I love being a part of Massis basketball. I was planning to do it a while back. My team just has to decide if they want to go to Fresno or not. I can't wait to start playing in tournaments!

The Porter Ranch Gas Leak
If you have not heard there has been a very bad gas leak in Porter Ranch. They say it is one of the worst gas leaks ever. It is very sad that this happened because I used to live there when I was little. My grandparents live in Porter Ranch. The gas leak caused them to relocate. Fortunately they were able to relocate to Tarzana, which is where I live. This gas leak caused many people to relocate into hotels, motels, and houses. My friends who live in Porter Ranch moved to Stevenson Ranch. They ended up having to go to school there. They used to go to Porter Ranch Community School, which the students from there now go to Northridge Middle School because of that smell in Porter Ranch. The gas in Porter Ranch caused nausea and nose bleeds. The gas company ended up patching that hole that the gas was coming out of. My grandparents will move back in March. Hopefully the gas company won't let this happen ever again.
My First Winter Camp In Scouts
On the weekend of January 22-24 I was at my first camp as a scout. We have two camps every year. One winter Camp and one summer camp. We do our winter camps at Camp Josepho and our summer camps are at Camp Tecuya. This camp was the winter camp. Camp Josepho is in the Pacific Palisades. We didn't just drive to Camp Josepho. We hiked there. The first day when we were not at camp yet all the scouts in our troop met at the Nike Missle Base. From there it was about a 6 mile hike, down-hill. We had to bring all our food, clothes, etc. We had to carry it all in our backpacks. Although it was a long hike we still had energy to cook dinner that night. That night we built our tents and then went to sleep. So the next day we woke and did our exercise. We did some exercise to get warmed up. Then we played games like human robot and tag. At night we did a BBQ followed by a campfire. During the campfire, we sang songs, performed skits, and just relaxed. After the campfire we played capture the flag at night. It was fun because it was in the dark and we had to work as a team. My team ended up winning. After playing capture the flag, we made s'mores. After making s'mores we went to bed. The next day was the final day of camp. We woke up and started with doing exercise to wake up. During the we went for a little walk to this meadow to do the elections for the senior patrol leader and patrol leader. I ended up becoming the patrol leader for my patrol. My patrol is the called the Sharks. Once we finished packing up and everything, headed back to the meeting place. The hike back was hard because it was mostly up-hill. The camp ended up being very fun. I am very glad that I went to winter camp.

January blog 3
As you might have heard Kobe Bryant is retiring at the end of this season. Kobe has been getting fair well wishes to every road game that he has played. This shows that the NBA and the fans have a lot of respect for him. Kobe has done a incredible job through out his career by winning 5 championships, 2 MVP's, and 18 All-Star games. This year will be his 18th All-Star games. This is his 20th NBA season. He is currently 38 years old. I remember watching the 2010 NBA finals and the Lakers won because of Kobe. Kobe has also won three championships in a row with Shaq. He has spent his whole career with the Lakers. He got drafted by the Charlotte Hornets, but on draft day he got traded to the Los Angeles Lakers for Vlade Divac. I think that is how you spell his name. Anyway, Kobe has been a very important part to the NBA and will be remembered as one of the best players to ever play the game.
January blog 2
If you haven't heard the Rams are coming to Los Angeles. Once I heard it on the news I got excited because we now finally have a team in Los Angeles. Of course I'm a Redskins fan but now when the Redskins come to play a road game in Los Angeles I can go see the game. The Los Angeles Rams go way back to the 1980's. They were lead by running back Eric Dickerson. Eric Dickerson is maybe one of the best running backs to ever play the game. They have won either one or two superbowls in their time in Los Angeles. I think they also had Kurt Warner, who was one of the best quarter backs to every game. The Rams are suppose to play in the new Inglewood stadium but it is not fully built yet. So until it is done, they will be playing in the Coliseum. It is about time that Los Angeles has a football team. I am glad that there will be a team in Los Angeles. I think they will do great things.
January Blog 1
Wow! It is finally 2016! 2015 was a great year. I remember joining scouts, starting the 7th grade, and what I got for Christmas. Before I started the 7th grade I was nervous because I thought everyone would change and I would have no friends. But it turned out to be the total opposite. Right now I have a lot of friends in my class and the outside of my class. I like all my teachers and I feel like I am doing good in school. The 6th grade is different than the 7th grade because now the 6th graders look up to us. Once we become 8th graders, it will become a whole different story. In the 7th I feel like we have more expectations because we are not new to the school anymore. But so far 7th grade have been a blast I can't wait for the 8th grade!
